System of a Down will return to Australia for the first time in more than 15 years, bringing their 2027 stadium tour to Accor Stadium, Sydney Olympic Park, on Friday 22 January. The tour will feature special guests Faith No More, marking the legendary band’s first Australian performances since 2015.
The Sydney concert forms part of a three-city Australian stadium tour, with additional shows in Melbourne and Brisbane, before continuing to New Zealand.
System of a Down last performed in Australia as part of the 2012 Soundwave Festival and remain one of the most influential alternative metal bands of the past three decades, with acclaimed albums including Toxicity, Mezmerize and Hypnotize. Faith No More, known for pioneering the fusion of rock, metal and funk, will join the entire Australian run, making it one of the country’s biggest rock touring packages in recent year.
