Sol is a Senior Pilates, Yoga & Meditation Teacher who brings 7.5 years’ experience, tailoring her sessions to each individual’s needs. Sol originally certified in Stott Pilates reformer and mat in 2010, followed by extensive training, certifications and regular group class and private work.
She has been working locally with the NRL referees since 2014, on range of motion, stretching, core and stability work, restoration and meditation. She also runs the popular Pilates and yoga program for the Sydney Olympic Park Lifestyle Program.
Experienced in programming for injuries, postural alignment and sports-specific needs, Sol has worked with Paralympic swimmer Ben Austin, golfer Matt Giles, NRL teams and individual players, elite triathletes, cyclists and runners as well as running reformer sessions for tennis and golf needs at the Royal Sydney Golf Course. An active person herself, Sol has completed the outback marathon, Yeppoon half ironman and Savusavu 10km ocean swim.
Sol’s greatest mind body exercise influences go back to discovering Hatha yoga at age ten and Pilates reformer at age 25. She continued to study yoga therapy, advanced assisting and adjusting, leadership and teacher trainer courses and has mentored and taught junior instructors as well as contributing several chapters to the SchoolYoga Institute’s teacher training manual. She is currently recording ten week meditation courses for brainwave entrainment.
Personally, Sol believes in establishing a strong mind body practice to break through limitations. Regardless of the form of our practice, finding ease and flow in motion and creating space for a new and different experience is at the core of what she teaches. Using the physical body as a gateway, we can shift our attitudes, thought patterns and ways of interacting and connecting – ultimately changing our quality of life.
