Sydney Showground has introduced a new complimentary storage initiative to support clients and suppliers amid ongoing global economic pressures and rising fuel costs.
Commencing on 1 May as a three-month trial to 31 July 2026, the initiative offers short-term storage for event materials and equipment as part of the venue’s Customer Service Charter. The goal is to help reduce transport movements, ease logistical challenges, and improve operational efficiency for event partners.
By allowing clients to consolidate deliveries and collections, the initiative is expected to streamline bump-in and bump-out processes while lowering fuel-related expenses. General Manager Darryl Jeffrey said the initiative reflects a strong commitment to collaboration across the events industry.
“We understand the real cost pressures being faced across the industry, and we’re focused on providing practical, flexible solutions that support our partners while maintaining operational excellence.”
With a busy events calendar ahead, storage availability will be subject to venue capacity. Clients and suppliers are encouraged to speak with their event manager to explore options during the trial period.
