Students across New South Wales can continue to undertake school excursions at Sydney Olympic Park with the launch of an interactive virtual learning experience coined Sydney Olympic Park LIVE.
Sydney Olympic Authority is transforming the way education is delivered during the COVID-19 pandemic, offering the full suite of curriculum-based school programs as virtual lessons.
Excursions will be available from Kindergarten to Year 12 focused on Geography, Science, History and cross-curriculum priorities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander History and Cultures and Sustainability.
Sydney Olympic Park Authority CEO Sam Romaniuk said he was proud of his staff for their fast and innovative approach to supporting education and safe practice in the current climate.
“Sydney Olympic Park delivers quality educational programs and events to over 30,000 students each year to support their learning in an immersive and hands-on way,” Romaniuk said.
“We are pleased to continue to facilitate discovery in our parklands and provide rich learning experiences through the use of technology, whether from the classroom or from home.”
