The Sydney Olympic Park Authority has advised that the management and operation of sporting venues currently under their control will transfer to the NSW Office of Sport from 1 November 2026.
The transfer includes the following venues:
- Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre
- Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre and Warm Up Track
- Quaycentre
- Sydney Olympic Park Hockey Centre
- Sydney Olympic Park Archery Centre (operations only)
- Sydney Olympic Park Sports Halls
This transition supports greater coordination across NSW’s sporting venue network and aligns venue management with the NSW Office of Sport’s role in supporting participation in sport and active recreation across the state.
This change relates to the management and operation of the venues listed above and is not expected to impact precinct partners’ day-to-day operations, existing arrangements, or ongoing engagement with Sydney Olympic Park Authority.
Sydney Olympic Park Authority will continue its role as the steward of the precinct, with responsibility for precinct planning, place management, infrastructure, public domain management, urban renewal and the delivery of Master Plan 2050.
The Sydney Olympic Park Authority remain committed to working closely with their precinct partners to support the continued growth, success and vibrancy of Sydney Olympic Park.
Please address any questions in relation to this transfer to enquiries@sopa.nsw.gov.au.
