Legendary Scottish rock band Simple Minds will return to Australia in February 2027 as part of their V Tour 2027, celebrating 50 years since the band first formed in Glasgow.
The tour will include a Sydney performance at Afterpay Arena on Saturday 20 February 2027, with electronic music pioneer Gary Numan joining as special guest.
Led by founding members Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill, Simple Minds have built one of the most enduring careers in rock music, selling more than 60 million albums worldwide. The tour will feature many of the band’s best-known songs, including Don’t You (Forget About Me), Alive And Kicking, Promised You A Miracle, Waterfront and Belfast Child.
Gary Numan, whose pioneering electronic sound helped shape modern synth-pop and industrial music, will make a rare return to Australian stages as part of the tour.
The Australian tour will visit Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, forming part of a wider celebration of Simple Minds’ five-decade career.
