Sydney Metro is inviting community feedback on its draft 2026–27 Corporate Plan, outlining the organisation’s strategic priorities as it continues expanding and operating the state’s metro network.
The updated plan focuses on delivering a high-quality passenger experience, improving network reliability, supporting sustainable growth, and preparing for future metro expansions across Sydney.
Key priorities include improving safety and accessibility across the network, enhancing station precincts and transport hubs, reducing environmental impact, and supporting future rail connections linked to Western Sydney Airport and emerging growth areas.
The draft plan also highlights initiatives aimed at increasing public transport patronage, strengthening operational readiness for upcoming metro services, and improving connections between metro stations, cycling infrastructure, footpaths and surrounding precincts.
Sustainability remains a major focus, with Sydney Metro continuing work toward net zero goals through renewable electricity programs, emissions reduction targets, recycled construction materials, and environmental compliance measures.
The Corporate Plan also outlines commitments to community engagement, workforce diversity, local procurement, and the creation of vibrant station precincts that support housing, business activity and public spaces.
Community feedback is now open, with submissions welcomed until 25 June 2026.
