In March, experts from more than 20 critical agencies including Police, Education and Transport joined NSW Health in a purpose-built operations centre at the Rural Fire Services headquarters at Sydney Olympic Park.
Since then the National COVID-19 Coordination Commission (NCCC) has created an online planning tool to help businesses develop a plan to keep workers, customers and the community safe as they reopen or increase activities in the weeks and months ahead.
The tool brings together information from on the range of help and assistance available to support businesses. This tool complements the Safe Work Australia online hub, which remains the main source of information for businesses to understand their work health and safety obligations.
The online planning takes about 30 minutes to complete and provides information to businesses about what they will need to keep people safe, how they can get their business back up and running and how they might adapt their operating model.
It will also help businesses to plan practical steps such as organising supplies, updating insurance and reactivating subscriptions.
The toolkit:
- will help you work out what resources are available and where you can go for support
- will help you develop a clear plan for trading through and after the COVID‑19 pandemic
- takes about 30 minutes to complete. This planning toolkit has three sections:
> Keeping people safe
> Adapting my business
> Accessing support and assistance
The tool can be downloaded from the NCCC website HERE.
