The NSW Budget expanded the NSW infrastructure pipeline to $108.5 billion. Most prominent among the new initiatives confirmed in this budget are the creation of Bradfield City Centre beside Western Sydney Airport, funding for the M6 extension to Kogarah, funding to continue planning for Parramatta Light Rail stage 2, and an extra $380 million to support the development of Renewable Energy Zones.
Executive Director of Business Western Sydney David Borger noted, “This Budget continues the strong investment pipeline in Western Sydney with major transport, education and health projects.
“The task of supporting the growth of Greater Western Sydney is never complete but this Budget focuses on the opportunities to grow jobs in the west through smart investments in our health and education precincts.
“Western Sydney is where the growth is in our great city. Ensuring that all commitments in the Budget are delivered will put the green light for investment into our region.”
