Sydney Olympic Park Authority has entered a co management agreement with the Murama Healing Circle, facilitated by Indigenise, marking an important milestone in the ongoing recognition of Aboriginal leadership and cultural stewardship on Wangal Country.

The agreement builds on more than a decade of collaboration and has supported the transformation of Newington Armory into a living cultural landscape. The site now provides meaningful opportunities for young people to connect with Country, culture and community through spaces such as the Murama Healing Space, Wangal Walk and Murama Dance Ground.

These places play a central role in the delivery of the Murama Junior Rangers program and a growing range of Indigenous led initiatives at Sydney Olympic Park. Together, they support learning, wellbeing and a sense of belonging while strengthening connections to Country.
