Dr Liz Develin has been named the new Chief Executive Officer of Sydney Olympic Park, leading the team responsible for one of Australia’s most iconic sporting and events locations, also fast becoming one of NSW’s most attractive places to live.
Announcing the appointment, Secretary for the Department of Planning & Environment, Mick Cassel, said Dr Develin had outstanding leadership, government and sustainability credentials earned across state and federal government and regulatory roles.
“There’s only one Sydney Olympic Park and this priceless asset needs strong and determined
leadership to take it from an events-focused destination into a thriving, highly activated community in the heart of the City’s growing western suburbs,” Mr Cassel said.
“Sydney Olympic Park will be home to almost 24,000 people by 2030 and while world class events and sport will remain an essential part of the Park’s future, it’s set to be transformed into a highly desirable place for people to live.”
