Transport for NSW will be carrying out essential road maintenance work on Homebush Bay Drive, Homebush West from Monday 24 October 2022. The work will involve replacing sections of asphalt and repainting road markings on the northbound lanes of Homebush Bay Drive between Parramatta Road and Australia Avenue.
We will be on site for five night shifts for asphalting work and two night shifts for line marking work between Monday 24 October and Monday 14 November 2022. Our work hours will be between 9pm and 5am from Sunday to Friday, weather permitting.
How will the work affect you?
Our work needs to be carried out at night to limit disruption to traffic and reduce safety risks to our workers and motorists. It may be noisy at times, but we will do everything we can to minimise noise impacts.
Partial and full ramp closures of the M4 Motorway on and off ramps to Homebush Bay Drive will be in place for four night shifts. Partial ramp closures will be in place on Monday 24 October and Thursday 27 October with minor detours in place.
Ramp closures will be in place from as early as 10.30pm. If we are unable to complete the closure on Wednesday 26 October, due to wet weather, we will carry out the closure on the next available dry weather contingency date:
Thursday 27 October, Wednesday 2 November, Thursday 3 November or Wednesday 9 November.
The contingency dates will avoid conflicts with other work happening on the M4 Motorway eastbound tunnel at the same time. Ramp closure notifications will be displayed on Variable Message Boards along the M4 Motorway, and around the area, for at least five days before the work commences.
The remaining maintenance work will be completed under lane closures. Access to residential properties and businesses will be maintained at all times.
