Murama is a resilience based cultural intervention program that focuses on the strengths of Aboriginal culture as a way to heal our communities.
The program concentrates on belonging, kinship and traditional values as stepping stones in a right of passage to reweave the cultural kinship between individuals, families, and the community.
Murama brings together Indigenous youth to celebrate their cultural journey, connect them with elders and each other and empower them to lead their schools and communities towards deeper cultural understandings.
This year Murama will feature within the Youth Eco Summit at Sydney Olympic Park as their youth lead over 2000 Primary School students through authentic and engaging cultural education activities.
The Murama Cultural Council, invites you to join Elders, guests and the many passionate stakeholders of Murama as they welcome in this year’s Murama youth leaders and encourage them to ‘Stand Tall and Walk Strong’.
