Transport for NSW is progressing a major upgrade of Hill Road, aimed at improving connectivity and supporting growth across key precincts in Western Sydney.
The project will upgrade Hill Road between Parramatta Road and Old Hill Link, enhancing access to the Carter Street Precinct, Sydney Olympic Park and surrounding areas.
Designed to ease congestion and deliver more reliable travel times, the upgrade will also improve safety for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians using this busy corridor. The works form part of broader infrastructure efforts to support increasing residential and commercial development in the region.
Funded through the NSW Government’s $140 million Housing Acceleration Fund, the project reflects ongoing investment in infrastructure to unlock housing supply and improve urban connectivity.
Construction commenced in March 2025 and is expected to take a minimum of two years to complete, with works continuing to progress throughout 2026.
