Construction company Roberts Co are currently undertaking the Planning Phase for the new Sydney Olympic Park High School at Wentworth Point. Delivered across two stages, the completed project will provide a new 9-stream high school with 1530 student spaces.
The school incorporates learning spaces specific to senior school requirements including science, visual arts, performance, fitness, wood/metal, food technology and supporting spaces. Split across six levels, the school will also include a library, administration, staff areas, student services, a canteen, outdoor covered workshop, and a quadrangle.
Car parking will be delivered on site alongside a playing field for shared use and landscaped playground areas. Working with design partners Woods Bagot, an alternative design was developed throughout the tender phase. This responded to planning and other requirements, streamlining the school’s footprint, and maximising open play space. Roberts Co are leading design development through the Planning Phase, with works on site due to commence in March 2022.
This project is being delivered as a 5-day work week program, a first for School Infrastructure NSW.
