Herbalife Nutrition, a premier global nutrition company, has been announced winner of THE GIVER: Industry Heart Award at the 2020 Direct Selling Australia Industry Awards, held in June.
The award is in recognition of the innovative and committed fundraising campaign that is the Herbalife Nutrition Foundation Bike Ride, a gruelling 840-kilometre pedal powered journey from Torquay to Adelaide. This annual event is organised by Herbalife Nutrition Independent Members and has raised over AUD$524,000 in the 7 seven years since its inception.
The Herbalife Nutrition Foundation (HNF) is a global non-profit organisation dedicated to improving children’s lives around the world by helping provide healthy nutrition and nutrition education to those in need. HNF is a way for Herbalife Nutrition staff and Independent Members to give back to the community, which they do by fundraising, donating or volunteering in support of Casa Herbalife Nutrition programs.
Peter Hurley, General Manager, Herbalife Nutrition Australia and New Zealand, said that the company is immensely proud to be recognised for their philanthropic work in THE GIVER: Industry Heart Award.
“We pride ourselves on helping people live healthier lives every day, which is why we support Casa Herbalife Nutrition Programs around Australia and New Zealand,” said Mr Hurley. Grant funding is made possible due to our Independent Members’ fundraising efforts, spearheaded each year by the Herbalife Nutrition Foundation Bike Ride. It is incredibly humbling for the event to be recognised by the Direct Selling Association, for the commitment of Herbalife Nutrition members and the positive impact Herbalife Nutrition Foundation funding has on our community,” he said.
The Herbalife Nutrition Foundation supports The Infants’ Home in Sydney, Lighthouse Foundation in Melbourne, Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, Sunshine Butterflies near Noosa in Queensland, Power Community Limited in South Australia and Life Education Trust in New Zealand.
