Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre has taken a significant step into the future of sports technology with the introduction of Hawk-Eye, becoming the first aquatic venue in NSW to implement this globally recognised system. Widely used in tennis, football and most recently at Paris 2024, Hawk-Eye now brings world-class precision and analysis to swimmers, coaches and officials within our precinct.
More than just a technological upgrade, Hawk-Eye delivers meaningful benefits for both community and high-performance sport, including:
- Reduced reliance on volunteers through automated officiating
- Advanced video analysis to support athlete development
- Enhanced accuracy and fairness in competition environments
- Alignment with international standards as Australia prepares for Brisbane 2032
Delivered in partnership with Swimming NSW, this initiative reflects Sydney Olympic Park Authority’s continued commitment to innovation, excellence and strengthening the precinct’s sporting legacy.
