A free story-time activity Poppy in the Park is the newest offering at Sydney Olympic Park, perfect for families with children aged five and younger.
Children will fall in love with character Poppy the Possum, an expert at helping young ones develop early literacy skills.
Held within the WatervieW Café in Bicetennial Park and run every second Tuesday from 10am to 10.45am, Poppy in the Park includes story-reading, craft and music activities especially designed to engage infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers.
Poppy in the Park also provides an excellent opportunity for families to connect with one another. Children can enjoy play-time while parents and carers catch up over a coffee and form new friendships, building a stronger community.
Bicentennial Park also boasts a range of facilities if families want to make more of a day of it, including playgrounds, water-play areas, free barbeque facilities, picnic pavilions, look-outs, walkways, a Bike Hire shop, cycling tracks, art installations, a bird hide and a mangrove boardwalk.
Sydney Olympic Park Authority is pleased to offer Poppy in the Park as the newest activity in the Park to support the growth and development of young ones and to facilitate stronger connections within the community.
