Every day, drivers who take Parramatta Road are caught in significant congestion at the intersection of Parramatta Road and the M4 motorway.
Two lanes at that intersection are dedicated right-turn lanes, with only one lane allowing drivers to proceed straight. This causes traffic to back up along Parramatta Road all the way to Burwood.
Sally Sitou, the Federal member for Reid together with Jason Li, the State Member for Strathfield have announced that this problem is going to be fixed.
The middle lane will become a straight-and-right lane, and the traffic island ahead of the intersection will be removed to allow drivers in the middle lane to proceed straight.
