CEO of Chill IT Justin Melton recently attended an excellent day at a Renew, Recharge & Rebuild workshop with Penrith Chamber. The session, he reports, had good ideas, information and important reminders of what’s important in the workplace
One of the key takeaways of the session was that one of the participants spoke about productivity. The message – taking a deep breath, resetting not only reduces stress / anxiety it also improves the quality of the work because you are more focussed and relaxed.
Justin did some further research and discovered there is a mindfulness and relaxation app (powered by Headspace) already built into Microsoft Teams. It includes:
- Six Mindfulness exercises
- Praise tool (including scheduling time to send praise. Research shows this helps people feel positive about their colleagues and workplace)
- Insights on Top Actions
- Booking Focus time
- Creating a personal reflection record (private)
