Bon Jovi to light up ANZ Stadium
SUPERGROUP Bon Jovi will play to a packed house at ANZ Stadium on Saturday 14 December in the latest major entertainment act to appear at Sydney Olympic Park.
The ANZ Stadium date will be part of the Telstra Thanks presents Bon Jovi - Because We Can Tour and will mark the first time the band has appeared in Australia since playing sell-out shows in 2010.It will be there only Sydney performance.
They will perform their classic hits, as well as tracks from their new Australian chart-topping album What About Now.
With a show that boasts high-energy, monster ballads and the electric sounds of what is uniquely Bon Jovi, the Because We Can tour has already earned rave reviews as it continues to travel the globe, with Billboard Magazine recently describing the show as “a joyful musical tour de force” .
The Bon Jovi 14 December concert will be a spectacular summer highlight on the biggest event calendar at ANZ Stadium since the 2000 Olympics.
Tickets will start from as low as $35 when they go on sale on 20 May. Promoter Paul Dainty said Jon Bon Jovi insisted that thousands' of the cheaper tickets be made available for the outdoor concerts in December so fans struggling to make ends meet could still enjoy the state-of-the-art rock show.
"Everyone is suffering a bit from the economic doom and gloom perceptions and the band want to help out, give people a great start to their Christmas celebrations,'' Mr Dainty said.
