Afterpay Arena has officially opened its doors at Sydney Olympic Park, marking the completion of the venue’s transition from Qudos Bank Arena following the commencement of a five-year naming rights partnership between Afterpay and Legends Global.
The official launch took place at the venue on 23 July, with representatives from Afterpay, Legends Global, and government attending the opening ceremony. The partnership introduces a range of new fan-focused features, including Afterpay Pay in 4 payment options for eligible purchases, tap-to-pay functionality across food, beverage and merchandise outlets, and upgrades to the venue’s internal spaces.
Afterpay Arena has also undergone months of redesign and technology enhancements, including improvements across the venue’s bars, foyer areas and digital experiences, designed to enhance the visitor experience at one of Australia’s leading entertainment venues.
Under its new name, the venue will host a strong calendar of concerts and entertainment events including performances from Tame Impala, 5 Seconds of Summer, Noah Kahan, Olivia Dean and Hilary Duff.
The launch reinforces Sydney Olympic Park’s position as a major destination for live entertainment, continuing to attract millions of visitors annually and supporting businesses across the precinct.
