NRMA Launch Blue Highways Strategy

NRMA's Blue Highways strategy for improvements to ferry services on Sydney Harbour and beyond was launched by NRMA CEO Rohan Lund at the POP! (Parramatta and Olympic Peninsula) Conference at ANZ Stadium last week.

The strategy includes the establishment of a new Western Quay transport interchange at Sydney Olympic Park and the introduction of new services to put Sydney Olympic Park within 30 minutes of both the Eastern Harbour (Sydney) CBD and Central River City (Parramatta) CBD, reducing the journey time by almost 30 per cent.

Seamless Link from Parramatta to Sydney Olympic Park On Its Way!

A $10 million boardwalk from Parramatta ferry wharf will connect cyclists and walkers to Meadowbank.

The critical link in the Parramatta Valley Cycleway has been promised in the NSW State Budget, due on June 19. It means users will avoid the 36 per cent gradient incline at the Gasworks bridge on MacArthur St and will make the ride from Parramatta Park to Sydney Olympic Park “seamless”.

Government Announces Expanded 533 Bus Service – Sydney Olympic Park to Chatswood via Ryde and Wentworth Point

More than 2,000 extra weekly bus services will be rolled out across NSW in the next 12 months, with customers living in the Northern Beaches, Wentworth Point, Penrith, Blacktown and Lane Cove among the biggest beneficiaries.

The NSW Government has today announced the service improvements which include an extra 60 services a week on route 533 from Sydney Olympic Park to Chatswood via Ryde and Wentworth Point, which currently operates during peak times only, to operate through Wentworth Point during weekdays and on weekends.

“Taste of Origin” 2018

This year’s Taste of Origin campaign is taking shape and you too can be a part of it!

The Sydney Olympic Park Authority will be coordinating a promotion to encourage customers to “taste” at this year’s event, creating a dedicated “taste” map, organising advertising and promotions through our various networks and working with event partners to help local businesses theme their shops with merchandise and decorations in the week leading up to State of Origin 2 on Sunday 24 June.

Some intermittent sound will be played in the afternoon of Friday 8 June and the morning of Saturday 9 June for sound system checks and to obtain sound operating levels for the event.

Make Music is a free celebration of music around the world o to be held on 21 June. Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 800 cities in 120 countries. This year, Sydney Olympic Park is joining the celebration of all things music!

Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. All of it is free and open to the public.
