Sydney Olympic Park’s Spotless Stadium to open ICC Women’s World T20 Australia 2020

Five ICC Women’s World T20 fixtures including the opener are set to be held at Spotless Stadium in Sydney Olympic Park, which will include ten of the world’s best women’s team.

For the first time, the women’s and men’s competitions will be held as stand alone events in the same host country and in the same year.

Women’s matches will run from 21 February to 8 March 2020 and the men’s matches will run from 18 October to 15 November 2020.

The Foo Fighters' Concrete & Gold World Tour at ANZ Stadium marked the first of an incredible line-up of big-name international acts at Australia's official #ConcertCapital of 2018 – Sydney Olympic Park.

Within the next three months, Sydney Olympic Park will see more than 20 major concert events, including worldwide tour events, by close to 20 international artists. Unfortunately, Neil Diamond's concert tour of Australia was recently cancelled.

Progress on Stage 2 of the Parramatta Light Rail Project

Work continues on Parramattta Light Rail with a Business Case anticipated for Stage 2 later this year.

This is a vitally important project for Sydney Olympic Park, connecting commercial and residential communities throughout Greater Parramatta and the Olympic Peninsula.

New CEO of Flourish Australia

In mid 2017, Pamela Rutledge, the CEO of Flourish Australia announced her intention to retire at the end of the year. Over the following months, the board undertook an extensive recruitment process with the assistance of an independent executive recruitment consultant from Polaris Consulting.

On 15th August, the Chair of the Board, Prof Elizabeth Moore AM was delighted to announce that as a result of the merit recruitment process, the board had appointed Mark Orr as the new Chief Executive of Flourish Australia. Mark will commence this role on January 1, 2018.

Bicycle NSW – Gear Up Girl – Sunday 11 March 2018

Gear Up Girl is a Bicycle NSW initiative, run with the support of the Heart Foundation, that provides opportunities for women to experience the pleasure of riding a bicycle.

Gear Up Girl was founded in 2008 and has expanded into a mass community bike ride from Sydney Olympic Park to Cronulla, showing women where the best bike paths and routes are so they can revisit them whenever they want!
