Established in May 2000, the Sydney Olympic Park Business Association (Business Association) was formed in order to provide a common voice in dealing with issues relating to the future of Sydney Olympic Park.
In developing the Business Association, Board Members met with the then Premier and Government Ministers to provide feedback and documentation on issues important to all Park stakeholders, including:
-Infrastructure and development opportunities
-Transport, Traffic and Parking
-Structure of the Government Authority (now SOPA)
-Visitors Information Centre
-Securing new events
Matters relating to improvement in infrastructure, traffic, transport, parking and major events continue to be the top issues on which the Business Association advocates with Government on behalf of Members.
The Business Association also works closely with the Sydney Olympic Park Authority contributing to improvements in the Park's operations including providing feedback from Members and suggestions to enhance:
-Car Parking, Public Transport and Traffic Management
- Signage Strategies (both commercial and directional)
-Marketing of the Park
-Assistance with attracting and supporting new Business, Sporting and Entertainment events to the Park
-Assistance with attracting new businesses to the Park
-Assisting with the relocation of new businesses in terms of information about the Park, assisting with Change Management issues and providing valuable Park contacts and networking opportunities.
-Development and ongoing support of 'Lifestyle' program
