Construction of the $60-million Homebush Bay Bridge began on Monday bringing Wentworth Point residents one step closer to their neighbours in Rhodes. 

With a span of 330 metres, the big winners are Wentworth Point (formerly Homebush Bay) residents – their seven kilometre journey to Rhodes railway station will be dramatically reduced.
